Your Debit Card has different limits on cash withdrawals from ATMs and on purchase transactions

The limit on your debit card protects you from fraud as the card is linked directly to the funds in your account. Your Emirates NBD Debit Card will have different daily limits for cash withdrawals from ATMs and for purchases.

You can change your daily purchase limit, but you can't change your daily cash withdrawal limit.

Primary debit cards have daily cash withdrawal and purchase limits that depend on the card type.

Supplementary debit card limits

Emirates NBD supplementary debit cards have daily as well as monthly cash withdrawal and purchase limits. These limits are assigned by the primary cardholder when applying for the supplementary debit card.

What happens when I use my debit card limit?

If you have reached your maximum daily debit card limit, you will only be able to make another withdrawal or purchase 24 hours from the time of your last withdrawal or purchase.

If you have reached the maximum monthly limit, your monthly purchase and withdrawal limits will be refreshed in the next calendar month.

What is the minimum and maximum amount I can limit a supplementary debit card to?

What happens if I attempt to make a purchase or withdrawal beyond my card limit?

If a purchase or withdrawal will result in the card exceeding its limit, then that particular transaction would get declined and you will receive a SMS notification on your registered mobile number.
